5K FREEDOM RUN

Calling all Caped Crusaders, Wonder Women, and Super Families! Suit up and soar into action for a cause that's truly heroic! 
Adult & Teen Challenge of Texas is hosting the ultimate test of speed and spirit with their annual Superhero 5K Freedom Run on Saturday, March 14, 2026!
We're taking over the gorgeous O.P. Schnabel Park in San Antonio for a day of high-flying fun dedicated to fighting addiction and saving futures. 
This isn't just a race; it's a full-blown superhero showdown!

The Mission:

5K Run/Walk: For the heroes ready to conquer the course! 
Kids 1K: The perfect mission for your little sidekicks! 
Toddler Trot: For the tiniest titans just finding their superpowers! 
Everyone who registers (fees $15-$50) is guaranteed an awesome, commemorative event shirt to wear with pride! 
 

The Superhero Celebration:
The heroics don't stop at the finish line! Power up at our vibrant post-race festival with:
- Delicious grub from food trucks
- Beats from a live DJ to keep the energy soaring
- Awesome face painting
- A fuzzy petting zoo
- An epic silent auction and prize giveaways!

All proceeds benefit Adult & Teen Challenge of Texas, a nonprofit residential program helping men, women family and teens overcome life controlling issues for almost 55 years.

Adult men and women, 18 years and older, enter into Adult & Teen Challenge of Texas' residential drug and alcohol rehabilitation centers to break-away from life-controlling addictions. 

We maintain three men's and two women's campuses, a campus for women and children, and a men's and women's transitional-living center at locations throughout Texas, to include:  Azle, Brenham, Houston, Magnolia, and San Antonio.  

Petting Zoo, DJ, Face Painting, Food, Cape and Masks for Kids, Bring your pets, and Silent Auction

After crossing the finish line, 5k runners can enjoy vibrant post-race festivities, complete with a DJ, music, food, and snacks. All participants receive an official race shirt, a medal, a goodie bag, and access to water stations. The event is family-friendly, offering a petting zoo, face painting, and fun gear for kids, as well as a silent auction for all attendees.
