The race was about 100 times better than last year. Having the buses right at the park was great. The bus dropped close enough to the start line. The race finish was great. Fun environment. Not sure why there is no free beer for racers (at least one free beer would be nice). The medal received was very nice. Again, the group did a much better job than last year. Oh - one other comment. The packet pickup prior to the race is challenging. Getting to the AT&T Center and Toyota Field is not very convenient. Why not highlight the new ROCK at La Cantera and have a pick up there? I know it might not be done by next year but way easier for alot of folks to get to.
This was a great race! Well organized, really cool shirt, medal and swag. The cheering crowd was a big motivator! Thanks to all!
Wow! What an experience :) Parking was just perfect and right across from Packet Pickup ! A short walk got me to Milan Park right between Market Square and Santa Rosa Children's hospital where the Air Conditioned Greyhound Bus was already there doing it's route to very near the start of the race near San Antonio college:) While walking to the race start I was able to see how hard the Bands, Floats and all other parade marchers were preparing for the Parade. Everyone was upbeat and there was excitement everywhere as the runners were taking care of last minute jitters to run the race route. Everyone in the route knew that it was the Fiesta De Los Spurs run that would "Kick Off" the Flambeau Parade:) So we ran our "Hearts Out" and we waved and high-fived parade goers along the way. And everywhere we passed we heard folks shouting our numbers and encouraging us to "Keep On Going" as well as many words of encouragement like "You Can Do It" and "Way To Go Number ____ " :) The route was shaded in many sections as well as curvy and "down hilly" :) I have never every heard cheers for runners from both sides of the street and for miles-that helped lots of runners not only keep on going but also going faster. The amount of excitement was Infinite at the finish where we received our beautiful and huge finisher's medals:) From there it was just a hop-skip and a jump back to Legacy Park under the Shade of the incredible Glass Frost Tower:) where I parked:) There at Legacy park one could take in some refreshments, take Fiesta selfies and even enjoy some of the best ever BBQ at Pinkerton's :) All in All it was a most enjoyable event and I'm sure to do this all over again:) My Hat Goes Off to Soler's Sports Race Management and to Spur's Give for putting on yet another Signature Event for Fiesta:)
Loved this event! It was a really fun environment to be in, and it's a cool way to be involved in the parade while supporting a good cause. Ultimately a lot of fun, would love to do it next year!
This event marked my 200th race and I couldn't have picked a better one. The route was amazing, the vibes were immaculate, the swag was spectacular. I cannot wait to do this again! Go Spurs Go!

I just wish we ran the same route as the whole parade. My family and some other runners families were seating in at the beginning and end of parade so they don’t get to see me or their love ones run. So after I got my metal I decided to finish the rest of the route so my family and friends could see me run.
The only area of improvement needed is the course prep, hard to keep thousand of parade goers off the course. Food and music is TOP NOTCH! A GREAT fiesta run.
